Ingredients

For Coconut Brafi

  • 3 Cup Grated Coconut
  • 1 ½ Cup Sugar
  • ½ Fresh Cream
  • ½ tablespoon Ghee/Clarified butter
  • ½ Cup  Milk

For Flavour

  • Cardamom powder pinch

Directions

  1. Heat a nonstick pan on medium heat and add grated coconut, sugar, fresh cream, and milk.
  2. Cook and stir continuously for 10 to 15 minutes until the mixtures turn a golden brown.
  3. After 15 to 20 minutes, the coconut mixture will start to separate from the pan and the mixture starts holding the shape.
  4. Add cardamom powder and mix well for flavour and remove from the heat.
  5. Grease a thali grease with ghee or use parchment paper and pour in the coconut mixture and spread evenly.
  6. Wait until it cools down and then cut into diamonds or squares with a sharp knife and serve. Desiccated coconut can be used for garnish.
