For Khoya Barfi

  • 400 Gram Fresh khoya
  • 200 Gram sugar
  • Butter paper or parchment paper

For Flavour and Garnishing

  • 13 -15 unsalted sliced pistachios
  • 1 /4 tsp cardamom powder


  1. Take khoya and grate it in a deep bowl or plate.
  2. Take a heavy and thick pan, transfer the grated khoya from the plate to the pan and add sugar and cardamom powder.
  3. Cook it on a low flame so khoya and sugar start melting.
  4. Cook for 15-20 minutes and by the time mixture starts separating from the pan.
  5. Cook till khoya looks a bit moist.
  6. Take a mould or plate, put the butter paper or parchment paper, and grease it with oil.
  7. Transfer the mixture and garnish with sliced pistachios.
  8. Let it cool and cut into thick square pieces.
