For Almond Barfi

  • 1 Cup Almonds
  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 3/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Ghee/Clarified butter

For Garnishing

  • Vraq, Silver leaf (optional)


  1. Take all the almonds, soak them overnight or soak them in hot water for 3 hour.
  2. Drain water from it and peel off the almond skin.
  3. Take a mixer grinder and put the peeled-off almonds and milk together and grind well. Make it into a paste.
  4. Take a nonstick pan, add 3 spoons and transfer the paste and sugar and put it on a medium flame.
  5. keep stirring until the mixture starts separating from the pan.
  6. Grease a plate with melted ghee/Clarified butter with the help of a brush.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased plate and make it even with a spatula.
  8. Garnish with silver varq.
  9. Let it cool down and cut into a square or diamond piece.
