  • 1 cup – boiled yam (jimikand)
  • 1 cup – boiled potato
  • 3 tbsp – roasted and crushed peanuts
  • 3 tbsp – roasted sesame seeds
  • 1.5 tsp – lemon juice
  • 1 tsp – sugar
  • 3 – green chillies
  • 1 tsp – ginger
  • 1/2 cup – singhara atta
  • 3 tbsp – poppy seeds
  • 1/2 tsp – cumin seeds
  • Oil

Directions For Making Yam Cutlet

  1. Heat 2 tsp oil in a pan; add cumin seeds and chopped green chillies.
  2. When it becomes golden, add boiled and mashed suran and mashed potato and peanuts.
  3. Stir fry for 1 minute and then take out in a bowl.
  4. Let it cool down, then add salt, sugar, sesame, lemon juice. Mix well.
  5. Make cutlets and keep aside.
  6. Take singhara atta, salt and water in a bowl and make a medium thick batter.
  7. Dip the cutlets in the batter and sprinkle poppy seeds over it.
  8. Heat oil in a pan and Deep Fried the cutlets on medium heat till golden and crisp.
  9. Serve hot.
