Ingredients

For Kofta

  • 250 gms/ 1 cup paneer
  • 3 medium potato, boiled
  • ½ cup mixed dry fruits, chopped
  • salt to taste
  • ½ tsp garam masala
  • corn flour to roll
  • oil to deep fry

For Tomato & Oninon Puree

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 cup tomato, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tbsp corinader powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder

For Gravy

  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2-3 cardamom
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon
  • prepared onion tomato puree
  • ½ cup cashewnut paste
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp cream on top

Directions For Making Malai Kofta

  1. In bowl add paneer, potato, mixed nuts, garam masala, salt & mix well.
  2. Make lemon size balls, roll them into corn flour and deep fry until turn golden brown in color.
  3. For onion and tomato puree heat oil in kadhai and add onion, ginger garlic paste. Saute until turn light brown in color.
  4. Add tomato all spices and cook until it starts leaving oil from the edges. Remove and make smooth paste into blender.
  5. In another pan splutter all whole spices. Pour prepared puree, little water, garam masala and cashewnut paste. Allow it to coom for 5-7 minutes.
  6. Add koftas and serve immediately. Top it it up with fresh cream.
