  • 100 gm Ada (Rice flakes)        
  • 1 litre milk                              
  • 200 ml water                         
  • 200 gm sugar                          
  • A pinch cardamon powder

Directions For Making Palada Payasam

  1. Wash ada, drain out and keep it aside.
  2. Heat a wide pan/traditional uruli and pour water and allow it to boil.
  3. Now pour the thick milk, stir continuously and allow to boil.                       
  4. Stir for around 10-15 minutes, then add rice ada into it.
  5. Allow the ada to cook, stir occasionally. Maintain a medium flame.
  6. When ada is cooked well, add sugar, combine well.
  7. Caramelise 20 gm of sugar and add in to attain the light pink colour.
  8. Stir cardamom powder, serve warm.
